Hello, Hello! I'm Sam and this is a blog I put together to showcase my cosplay/costume work (among other things). Here you'll find work in progress photos, wigs I've styled, props I've made, costumes I've designed, cosplays I've made for myself or others, and things that you can find for sale on my Etsy. I'm not a professional (yet), but I'd like to be one day.. For information on commissions visit here. Email: email@example.com
Here’s my most recently finished commission; Phoebe from Pokemon!
Wrap skirt, Tube top with cage/elastic back, and giant Kanazashi flowers for the headpiece. All cotton (aside from the polyester lining), and the buttons on the Kanazashi centers are made of pink shells.
Made some antler earrings last night out of leftover sculpty I had since I couldn’t sleep. Thinking of putting these on etsy as made to order items but it’ll depend on if I can figure out a way to ship them without worrying about them breaking.
I also made a pair of Halla antlers, but I have to paint them a bit more to get the gold color I want.
Here’s the Tenga Toppa Kill photos from Metrocon 2014! This wig was the bane of my existence when I was styling it and continued to be the bane of my existence while I wore it. I really need to get a new base wig for Yoko before I cosplay her again. But other that a few minor flaws and details on Kaminaketsu that I want to touch up or fix if we ever decide to pull these cosplay out again I’m generally happy with how it turned out!
Since I don’t think my Elsa wig is going to get here in time and since there’s no way I’ll be getting Elsa’s dress done in time I have changed my Metrocon lineup.
Elizabeth has been moved to Friday now and Sunday I’ll be Fionna from Adventure Time! I’ve had my Fionna cosplay done for who knows how long now and it’s a comfy cosplay for a Sunday. I will be trying to make her Wish Star Sword since it was recently featured in the newest Fionna and Cake episode. Since I don’t have a Cake plush I’ll either be borrowing a friends or I’ll have my talking Puppycat plush for crossover giggles.
I’d also like to apologize for the lack of WIPs of Mako, Liz, and Yoko. I’ve been busing making them, on top of commissions, on top of the move from hell. Hopefully I’ll be back up to posting regular WiPs before August!
